Joy Paula Delaney LL.B. (HONS)
Born April 28, 1959 in Bridgetown, Barbados. She was admitted to the Bahamas Bar in October 2008.
Education
She is a graduate of Queen’s College in Barbados where she received her secondary education. She then attended Concordia University in Montreal, Canada where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982. She is also a graduate of McGill University, Montreal Canada where she obtained a Master of Education degree in 1984.
After working in the field of education for a number of years, she entered the Law program of the University of the West Indies at the College of the Bahamas. There, she attained her Bachelors of Law degree with Honors in 2006. She then went on to the Eugene Dupuch Law School where she received the Certificate of Legal Education and graduated in 2008 on the Principal’s Roll of Honour, as well as the most outstanding Bahamian student over two years.
