Tamica Denise Lockhart-Sawyer LL.B. (HONS)

Born on 12th June 1977, in Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas. Admitted to the Bahamas Bar October 2004.

Education
A fruit of the public school system, graduating from the S.C. McPherson Secondary School as class valedictorian in 1994. She then went on to pursue an Associates of Arts Degree in Law and Criminal Justice from the College of The Bahamas, completing the degree in 1997. She took a two year hiatus from formal tertiary level education,  resuming her studies in 1999 when she entered the law program of the University of the West Indies where she obtained her Bachelors of Law degree with honours in 2002. She then moved onto the Eugene Dupuch Law School where she obtained her Legal Education Certificate in 2004, and graduated with the Principal’s Prize for Trial Advocacy and the Legal Aid Award.
